NeoPhotonics SFP+ optical module product family adds new version

On September 6th, NeoPhotonics company ( NPTN ), an intensive bandwidth, high speed communication network using PIC ( photonic integrated circuit ) components, modules and subsystems leading designer and manufacturer, today announced that its SFP+ optical module product family has a new version. These new upgraded NeoPhotonics version with the existing CPRI ( general public radio interface ) 6G SFP+ optical module as well as the application of 10G Ethernet and OC-192/STM-64 SONET/SDH transmission 10G SFP+ transceiver module product portfolio.
The new version of NeoPhotonics SFP+ optical module dedicated network towards smaller power consumption and more to keep feet module of the green transformation, the transformation reduces the transmission system consumption and support more high density panel to adapt to the increasing bandwidth demand. SFP+ MSA can make each module without CRD ( clock and data recovery ) function at the time of maximum power of 1.5 watts, however early functional equivalent of the XFP MSA optical module power is 3.5 watts, or more than two times. The NeoPhotonics product family has several versions of 40km coverage ( ER ) and 80km ( ZR ) distance and supports a variety of communication protocol.
" New SFP+ optical module introduction to fulfill our in ultra high speed optical module market commitment, " NeoPhotonics CEO and chairman Tim Jenks said, " we are glad to support customers in lower broadband network power consumption and carbon footprint of the green commitment, to meet a higher density optical port increased demand. "
Without CRD function of the SFP+ optical module supports 10G Ethernet transmission and follow the IEEE 802.3-2005 and 802.3-2008 standard. With the function of CRD SFP+ optical module supports OC-192/STM-64 SONET/SDH and follow the ITU-T G.709 OTU2 defined rate of optical transmission network. All of these modules to meet Telcordia GR-468 CORE certification requirements, covering the extended working temperature range of -5 to +85 oC ( E-Temp ). NeoPhotonics can now provide bulk ER and ZR SFP+ optical module samples, the products comply with RoHS5 or RoHS6 requirements.
NeoPhotonics will be in Shenzhen Exhibition Center from September 6th to 9 on the CIOE T323 booth display strain SFP+ transceiver module, earlier exhibited and fiber to the home ( FTTH ) optical transceiver module and based on a photonic integrated circuit ( PIC ) technology and 40G/100G products.
On the NeoPhotonics and photoelectricity Frestech
NeoPhotonics is PIC ( photonic integrated circuit ) components, modules and subsystems leading designer and manufacturer, the products used in intensive bandwidth, high speed communication network, which can make the communication network to realize low cost high speed data transmission and effective bandwidth allocation.
NeoPhotonics is headquartered in San Jose California, Silicon Valley and Chinese Shenzhen ( NeoPhotonics subsidiaries: Frestech photoelectricity ) is the project management and production facility is located, the two have passed the ISO 9001:2000 quality management system certification. NeoPhotonics was in 2011 June was included in the reprogramming of the Russell 3000 index.
